The Zofran for pregnancy side effects has been linked to a thirty (30) percent increase risk of congenital birth defects and a more than 2 x or doubling of congenital heart defects, cleft lip and cleft palate, according to several recent medical studies. Prescribing of Zofran to pregnant women for nausea and morning sickness has never been approved by the FDA and is considered an off label use. Zofran has not been approved to take or be prescribed to women pregnant for morning sickness. The FDA classification of Zofran is a “Pregnancy Category B.

- diarrhea
- constipation
- weakness
- headaches
- tiredness
- light headedness
- dizziness
- vision loss
- rash
- hives
- itching
- swelling of the eyes, face, lips,
- swelling of tongue, throat,
- swelling hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs
- hoarseness
- difficulty breathing or swallowing
- shortness of breath
- noisy, high pitched breathing
